This is not a drill: Microsoft admits Windows Phone is passed for real

It’s time to contend goodbye for genuine this time. Windows Phone’s genocide has been delayed and painful, but, as CNET spotted, a conduct of Microsoft’s Windows multiplication finally certified we shouldn’t design anything some-more when it comes to Windows Phone.

Microsoft doesn’t devise to let existent Windows Phone users down — there will be confidence updates. But don’t design anything new. Joe Belfiore certified that Microsoft isn’t operative on any program or hardware update.

He even certified that there’s no approach to solve Microsoft’s app problems. Companies and indie developers simply don’t wish to work on Windows Phone apps — many of them substantially never cared in a initial place.

So there we have it. Microsoft is giving up. This isn’t a initial time Microsoft is realizing things are going awry. TechCrunch’s Natasha Lomas even wrote that Windows Phone 7 was cursed behind in 2012.

It’s a contrition since Windows Phone’s user interface was interesting. Most of a handling complement featured a black credentials with a concentration on content instead of icons. The home shade wasn’t only a tedious grid of icons and widgets, it featured tiles with previews of your apps. Microsoft attempted something opposite with Windows Phone, though it wasn’t enough.

Microsoft is going to concentration on mobile in opposite ways. The association has been operative on mobile apps and some of them are utterly successful. For instance, Microsoft Edge is entrance to Android and iOS. The association has dozens of apps on iOS and Android, including Microsoft Office, Outlook, Swiftkey, Skype and more.

In other words, Microsoft is duplicating Sega and building for other platforms.
